Effect of two roguing intensities on Eucalytus urograndis regrowth

Abstract
Eucalytus is an important economic, social and enviromental alternative for sustaninable development around the Word. This crop has a rapid regeneration, but the costs maintenance are high, so proper silvicultural management of regrowth is required. The main objective of the present investigation was to evaluate the growth of the eucaliptus sprouts after applying the silvicultural treatments. Thinning positively influenced both the longitudinal and radial growth of Eucalytus urograndis plants. The twelve – month increase in diameter and projected for plants subjected to two thinning intensities (70– 80%) in relation to the control tretatment ranged in values 0.34 – 0.47 cm and 1.04 . 1-45 m, respectively.
