Indigenous People’s Proposals for Interculturality in Superior Education

Abstract
This study analyzes the impact of interculturality in Ecuadorian higher education, exploring the integration of ancestral knowledge in the academic field. A qualitative and descriptive approach was used, with a cross-sectional design. Data collection combined Likert-scale surveys and semi-structured interviews directed to teachers, managers and educators from various universities. The results show the need to strengthen teacher training and indigenous participation in decision-making. It is concluded that intercultural education requires greater institutional support and strategies that promote its consolidation and have significant contributions to current education.
